Paul Johnson Posted 28 September , 2005 Share Posted 28 September , 2005 Can someone please help me clear up an assumption of mine. I have assumed that the word Disembodied found on a Service Record means that the servicman's term of engagement has come to an end and he is no longer required. I also assume that the word Discharged covers a variation of reasons, mainly covered by Kings Regulations. Am I assuming correctly? Your help please. Muerrisch Posted 28 September , 2005 Share Posted 28 September , 2005 'Disembodied', like 'Embodied' was a unit function: when war was declared, the TF was "Embodied" into the army for active service. After the war, it was 'disembodied'. The word appears on the records of TF men if still serving at time of disembodiment.
