Also could you please tell me when they landed in France/Belgium ?

Any help would be very much appreciated !

0800 hours: Breakfasting at Bethune.

1345: They reached Gorre.

1445: At crossroads west of Festubert.

1500: C & D Companies in firing line just east of Festubert, A & B in support. The attack was successful, they reached and held the original support trenches 800 yards east of Festubert but sustained very heavy casualties.

Taken from the History

"In all there went overseas with the battalion 26,Officers,1 warrant officer, 49 sergeants and 911 men , besides an officer and five men attached from the R.A.M.C. and 6 N.C.O's attached from the Ordnance Corps"

The book then lists all the officers by name who went.

I have the full history if you want anymore information just shout.

Regards Doug.
