Retrac Posted 27 September , 2005 Share Posted 27 September , 2005 Tracing the movement of my grandgfather has proved challenging. I had him nicely located in 73 Coy MGC from its formation early in 1916 until his wounding and award of DCM on 18th August at Guillemont. After that I understand he was in hospital in England and presumably rejoined the MGC (but not 73 Coy or 24 Div MGC). The family story is that he spent time in India, but no documentary evidence. Has anyone come across him when going through War Diaires or other documents? Thanks David
