Owen Hales Posted 26 September , 2005 Share Posted 26 September , 2005 My first post. I am researching a Scots Guards Machine Gun officer who was kia 25/9/16 in the Battle of Morval. He was in the 2nd Battalion attached to the 3rd Guards Brigade Machine Gun Coy. Looking in WO95/1224 at the NA there is only brief mention of MGC activities at this time and WO95/1219 covers Guards but not MGC. He gets no mention in either of these nor does he show up in the book Scots Guards in the Great War. I am keen to ascertain where, when and how he was killed. Any pointers gratefully received.
