Anyone help me with any info they have from relatives diaries or photos of 2KRRC at any time during the war. I already have the Btn Chronicles and would like more personal information if it is available.

Thanks Mike

This is a copy of the Diary of Sergeant Sanderson 2nd Battalion, KRRC. It is around 12,000 words, mostly in the form of short notes, covering the period from August to November 1914. It covers mobilisation, the journey to Mons, the Retreat from Mons. The battles of the Marne and the Anise and the evolution of trench warfare. The army then moves north to Ypres in Belgium and after a few days the sergeant is shot in the ankle. The diary finishes when he reaches the base hospital.

Sgt Sanderson.

Tony.
