Remembered Today:

A small village called Harbonnaires

I have a French side to my family, and they lived in Harbonnaires, a small village close to the Somme, if anyone has anytime to go to the village could they please go to the village graveyard and take a picture of Ulysses Defour's grave. I have never been and would like to some day.

Be very nice if someone went and told me what it was like. Is anyone familiar with the village?

Yeah, thats it. Bad spelling on my part, I think. Its a lot bigger than I was told. Maybe it was a good deal smaller a 100 years ago. Anyway that Ulyss guy could of fought for the French, is there any way to get his French Service papers?

I tried on this website, but no Defour Ulysse

http://www.memoiredeshommes.sga.defense.gouv.fr

However I understood certainly wrongly that he died during WW1.

The papers should be available in the "archives departementales" of the area he was born.

Best regards
