andy1400 Posted 23 September , 2005 Share Posted 23 September , 2005 Does anyone know if the 12th Argylls had a number of men drafted in from the Wiltshire Yeomanry whilst they were in Salonika? My grandfather was in the Yeomanry but he said that he was transferred after they suffered losses. I was trying to find a timeline. Also does anyone know of a good history of the Wiltshire Yeomanry, especially during the First War? Thanks in advance Andy
Coldstreamer Posted 24 September , 2005 Share Posted 24 September , 2005 Hello I have looked at soldiers died and 12th Btn casualties- none listed as previous service with the Yeomanry Have you tried looking at MIC putting in Argyll AND wiltshire? Also, what are you GD's details ? Might help me work out the MICs if there is a pattern Ian
andy1400 Posted 30 September , 2005 Author Share Posted 30 September , 2005 Hi Ian Sorry about the delay, have been away. My grandads dtails are sketchy because his records were destroyed in the Second War. But according to my mum he was transferred to the Argylls in Salonika afte4r they suffered losses. I have a photo of him in Wiltshire Yeomanry uniform and that is about it. What is the MIC that you referred to? Regards Andy
