The 1901 census shows one George W Boon living at Hulver Road, Mutford. He’s a Market Gardner, but his age is shown as 35, which doesn’t tally with the GWGC entry.

His wife is Elizabeth (33) (could she be “M.E.Boon referred to on CWGC) and they have children Willie (8), Lizzie (7), Surtees (3), Kate (2) and Freston (4 months).

All are shown to have been born in Mutford, where there seem to be an abundance of Boons, so I’m not sure if this is your man.

Many thanks for the info

Stephen

This one is a bit of a mess - the war memorial shows his date of death as 28/3/1915 & his age as 51 - so I dont know what to do other than that I got the correct G W Boon from CWGC
