Hello,

I am a new WFA member and just getting to grips with the forum. I hope someone can help me.

I have a photo of my great-uncle showing him with a wound stripe. He had been in France (1/4 Ox& Bucks LI) from Oct 1915, and returned ito the UK later that year with trench feet.

Would the wound stripe have been for that?

What were the criteria for the award of a WS? Was it necessary to be hospitalised and returned to UK?

Martin
