Correct Malcolm. Apologies for not replying sooner - somehow missed your post. I have the history you refer to, but I'm trying to find more about the events surrounding the VC action. Lt McGregor was my wife's Great Uncle. The family have always wondered what happened to the driver of the limber that took off across 600 yards of open ground with Uncle Stuart on the back! I've tried VC forums without success. The citation refers to the driver "being hit", but we would very much like to know who he was, and his fate/history. As Lt McGregor was attached to the Machine Gun Corps, I'm not sure if I should be after Royal Scots diaries or MGC? Advice gladly welcome!

Regards

Andrew
