Bill Smy Posted 14 September , 2005 Share Posted 14 September , 2005 I have a photograph of "Officers of The Lincoln Regiment at Niagara Camp". The regiment was part of the Canadian Militia, and the photo dates mid 1930s. The officers are named, one whom is Captain JMR Torrie, MM. A search of the National Archives of Canada data base of Soldiers of the First World War does not turn him up, so I assume he served in the British Army and won his MM in the First World War. Can anyone help me in any way.
Bob Coulson Posted 15 September , 2005 Share Posted 15 September , 2005 Bill, Do a search of the London Gazette, this should turn up when he was awarded his MM, should also give his regt and battalion. Bob.
