Guest Simon Bull Posted 13 September , 2005 Share Posted 13 September , 2005 "The Dorset Regiment" by Hugh Popham (page 73) states "Major C. H. D. Ward, writing the war-time history of the 1st Battalion". Does any Pal know what the title of this history was and/or where it can be seen? I have tried the British Library and Cambridge University Library catalogues and a general Internet search and failed to turn up any mention of this history. Kate Wills Posted 22 September , 2005 Share Posted 22 September , 2005 Simon, The History of the Dorsetshire Regiment 1914-1919 is a 3 volume work published by Henry Ling of Dorchester for the regimental History Committee. Part One covers the two Regular Battalions. Are you coming to the next WFA meeting? If so I will bring it along, if you wish to borrow it.
