BULLDOGFOGG Posted 13 September , 2005 Share Posted 13 September , 2005 Any Pals know of anyone out there who can provide copies of old newspapers. In particular local newspapers that contained obituries. Ive microfiched to death and found the obituries i needed for my family research but the photos are very poor quality after photocopying. I have had a photograph provided by them. They took a photo of the photo in the original newspaper. I think the charge was £22.50. An example of the quality is Here, it is the picture of two girls filling hand grenades in the last post in the thread. Tony.
Bernard_Lewis Posted 13 September , 2005 Share Posted 13 September , 2005 Having seen original copies of the South Wales Daily Post for 1914 on I have to say that the quality of the original newspaper snaps is often very grainy - and not a lot you can do with that...no idea where the original photos went - the negatives seem very rare.
