Wienand Drenth Posted 13 September , 2005 Share Posted 13 September , 2005 Hello, Battalion was formed at Liverpool in May 1915, and that autumn to Blackpool. Early 1916 the battalion went to Oswestry, and was redesignated 8 Apr. 1916 as 5th (Reserve) Battalion. On 1 September of that year it merged with the 6th (Res) Bn without change of name, and remained at Oswestry for the remainder of the war.
