Lieut. Hugh Montague Butterworth

Memorial book with all his letters from the front.

Lieut. Butterworth was in the 9th Rifle Brigade, killed in action in Flanders September 25th, 1915. The only son of Mr & Mrs G.M. Butterworth of Christchurch, New Zealand, formerly of Swindon in England. He was educated at Hazelwood, Marlborough and University College in Oxford.

Includes all his letters form the front and the letters of Condolence from his C.O. (W. Villiers-Stuart).
