Guest Arthur6719 Posted 11 September , 2005 Share Posted 11 September , 2005 Could anyone please advise me of a suitable airwar documentary/film that I can obtain to use in a presentation which I am undertaking, with special respect to the dogfights. Thanks
Dolphin Posted 11 September , 2005 Share Posted 11 September , 2005 Arthur You could try the 4 part documentary Four Years of Thunder or Part 3 of World War I in Colour. Both are available on DVD from ABC Shops. I hope this helps. Gareth
yellow Posted 11 September , 2005 Share Posted 11 September , 2005 I dont believe there is any period video footage of dogfights or even still photos taken by air crew during combat. Those that have been published were proved to be fakes. If you are producing a video presentation the film 'Aces High' wouldnt be a bad start. In regards to documentaries I might suggest 'World War 1 - The Fight For the Skys' on VHS. Hope this helps. Steve.

Dolphin Posted 12 September , 2005 Share Posted 12 September , 2005 What is the addess for abc shops Gareth Jamie <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Jamie The ABC Shop webpage is at: http://shop.abc.net.au/ I put in a reference to the ABC as Arthur, like me, is in Australia. The DVDs sold by the ABC are in Region 4 format, so a multi-Region DVD player is needed by a non-Australian resident wanting to watch them. The DVDs in question are no doubt available in other countries as well. Best wishes Gareth
