Going through a few East Yorks casualty items, I note that of the Hull Pals units, the 10th/11th/12th Bn.'s the serial numbers have a prefix relating to the unit attached i.e. 11/22122.

I wondered if that is the case with all the EYR Bn.'s. I have one set with the prefix 9, though I have not seen much of a mention for a 9th Bn., a Reserve unit.

The man tranferred at some time to the 1st Bn. of the Northumerland Fusiliers with whom he was KIA in August 1918.
