gem22 Posted 5 September , 2005 Share Posted 5 September , 2005 Can someone see if SDGW has any info on the following name: Holliday Charles H killed in action in France Sept 15 1916. The information I have comes from a headstone in a cemetery in Norfolk. I cannot locate him in CWGC records but I have found his two brothers who are also named on the headstone. gem22 Posted 5 September , 2005 Author Share Posted 5 September , 2005 Mandy That's him. Many thanks. His memorial headstone, together with his two brothers, is in Denver cemetery, Norfolk. But now I need to find out why he isn't on CWGC records. Mind you I haven't yet attempted all the possible spelling errors for his surname. Garth ps I think I've got him now. He's listed as GH Holliday and is buried in Guards cemetery, Les Boeufs. His service number confirms it. Thanks Mandy. Next stop Terry Denham.
