bcerha Posted 1 September , 2005 Share Posted 1 September , 2005 Remembering the soldiers of the 1st Cavalry Brigade involved in the action at Nery on 1st September 1914 and particulary those of L Battery RHA. The three VC winners that morning: Captain E K Bradbury RHA Battery Sergeant Major (BSM) Dorrel Sergeant Nelson and also to Gnrs Derbyshire and Osbourne, though not awarded the VC arguably did as much as any man that day.
