Son of the late Thomas and Grace Barker of 8, Wellgate, Greetland. Attended Lindwell Primary Methodist Church. He was a silkdresser at Woodfield Mills, Greetland. Contracted trenchfeet in December 1916. Died at 24 Casualty Clearing Station, Italy of gunshot wounds. I think the 24th C.C.S was near Dunkirk. Should have known that Chris would have had this covered. Yes, they were near Dunkirk until they moved to Italy in late 1917. I 'll bet they welcomed that transfer.
