The date to read below the picture is wrong.

The photo was taken on 20 February 1916 and shows Lt. Gustav Leffers next to his 3rd victim - a british "BE-Doppeldecker". The crew of the plane (two officers) died.

Photo taken by german 26th Reserve-Division in the area of Cambrai.

Who can help with some detailed information ?

Hello Malte,,

If the plane on pic nr.1 is Bristol F2b A7130, then it was shot down on 19/9/1917 near Bullecourt by NCO Gille (Jasta 12).

Gustav Leffers claimed his 3rd victim, a BE2c of 15 Sqn,

on 17/1/1916 near Bapaume.

A2879 - BE2e of 8Sqn was shot down on 6/4/1917, but I don't think it was by FRANKL.

Anyway this was not FRANKL's 15th victory, in april 1917 he gained his 16th -20th victory.

Sopwith Pup N6168 of 3th (Naval) Sqn, shot down 1/5/1917 by Oblt. von Tutschek -Jasta 12 near Cantaing.

Pilot AS Mather made prisoner.
