Chaytor's Units

Best I can find is a brief statement in the Official Medical History, vol. 3 pg 482 which says " the medical units of the Anzac Mounted Division with Sir E Chaytor's force (period 21 September to 16 November) received 6450 sick and wounded from the division and 1902 from attached troops chiefly due to sickness" Can't find any figures for killed, wounded, etc. but will keep digging!

Found the following in Official Australian Medical History by Butler, vol I , pg 723: "the battle casualties of Chaytor's force were 27 killed, 7 missing, 105 wounded. Prisoners captured totalled 10,322". It would appear these figures refer to operations at Es Salt and Amman. The Australian army Official History (vol. vii, pg 727) confirms the same figures (3 Officer, 24 OR killed) over a nine day period ending 1 October. Other than the Turkish prisoners, captured material included 57 guns, 132 machine guns, 11 railway engines, and 106 trucks!
