New Front Line Diary from Highland 51st

My Grandfather sent postcards from the front line home and on his return he created a book of all the extracts. I took the original book and created a digital format version including original scans of some of the pictures / postcards.

Subjects covered are life with the Highland 51st, in the trenches in the Somme, Testing planes (and not particularly enjoying it!), and Egypt among others.

Its rather large but interesting reading.

The book is also available in printed format at the Imperial War Museum.
