Guest Choogster Posted 17 August , 2005 Share Posted 17 August , 2005 My Grandfather sent postcards from the front line home and on his return he created a book of all the extracts. I took the original book and created a digital format version including original scans of some of the pictures / postcards. Subjects covered are life with the Highland 51st, in the trenches in the Somme, Testing planes (and not particularly enjoying it!), and Egypt among others. I really hope you might get the chance to take a look at the diary which is available for free download from here: http://www.archive.org/download/memogw/mem...e_great_war.pdf Its rather large but interesting reading. The book is also available in printed format at the Imperial War Museum.
