Corporal Billy Mills RFA of Barton upon Humber died upon Le Varsoux after exchange of POWs in the Persian Gulf. He was apparently awarded the DCM but I can't find his gazetting.I spoke to his cousin a few years ago who said he did win it for signalling under shellfire or something. Hu Kno? Any info in any shape of form graticatiously receded. He was a civil service man in India prior to the War .

Thanks a lot Seanuio

His DCM appears in the LG in issue 30424 11.12.17. but no citation as mentioned above. It appears he was also was mentioned in despatches as 44864 Bombadier, 2nd Wessex (Howtizer) Brigade TF LG 11.7.1916.
