I visited the area last year including Vertbois Farm (I recall your relative died close by) The farmer was very friendly and showed us some of the buidings where soldiers slept. It was his parents who owned the farm during the Great War. Laurent (a member on thius forum) was also very helpful. Tel: 00 33 322 762144 I know this B&B from previous visits; its a good alternative for those who find no other accomodation at Somme.
