Can anyone provide any information on Captain James Davidson, RAMC who was killed at Cambrai on 30/11/17 whilst attached to the 10th Bn. KRRC?

James was a son of William David and Sarah Davidson, of The Elms, Turriff, Aberdeenshire.

As can be seen from an interesting medal in his family's collection, James was a product of Aberdeen University and was "the most distinguished graduate in medicine of his year 1911".

I noted on the image of Capt Davidson that he's coller dog that the Serpents head was facing outwards when it should be facing inwards.

There is a myth that when the RAMC are War there Coller dogs are reversed with the serpents head facing out????
