Mike Steele Posted 21 July , 2003 Share Posted 21 July , 2003 Last week I was on a tour of Mons/Le Cateau and Waterloo with Middlebrook-Hodgson and I am sad to inform you that Martin has annouced that next year will be his very last one for conducting tours around battlefields. I am sure everyone who has been on a tour with Martin, or who know him would like to wish him a very happy and comfortable retirement. He does however have a new book out later this year of which we were priviliged to get to see a proof copy !!!
Guest Hill 60 Posted 21 July , 2003 Share Posted 21 July , 2003 Will Mike Hodgson carry on the business, or will the company completely fold? My first tour of the battlefields was with the M&H tour, and I always remember that specific trip to the Somme as one of reflection, sometimes sadness and of a mega-hangover! Paul Reed Posted 21 July , 2003 Share Posted 21 July , 2003 I had heard this might be the case, but Mike Hodgson has every intention of continuing the tours. I often hear very positive things about these tours, so am sure he will continue with what Martin has established.
