bernardmcilwaine Posted 12 August , 2005 Share Posted 12 August , 2005 this soldier is listed as died of wounds accidentally,but i believe there was a post mortem on the body which revealed he was stabbed twice in the chest,the info i have is a bit sketchy,it appears he was found in a field fully clothed,but on inspection was found to have been stabbed twice in the chest,BUT there were no holes in his tunic,i believe theres a mention of this in their war diary,mans name and unit are. pte edgar.james mildenhall 1363 4th field ambulance C.A.M.C son of george+isabella mildenhall,lambourn,berkshire buried at varennes military cemetary, I.A.41 anyone know anything bernard Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
