chrislock Posted 7 August , 2005 Share Posted 7 August , 2005 Can anyone help please? I have seen a very famous WW1 photo, of a sentry on duty, with bayonet fixed! The photo was taken 1 day before the battle started. I think his name was Carter and was in one of the Middlesex Batts. I was fascinated by this young, cheerful Tommie and need to know what happened to him! Help? Chris.
