jamie 1978 Posted 5 August , 2005 Share Posted 5 August , 2005 I got some copies of the foreign office records from the national arrchives which give referance to Parchim Camp. It is interesting to note that there are a few individuals mentioned by name and regiment + number, it seemed to be the men who had complaints. Although the views are that of inspectors it gives a good idea of conditions. for example the following men complained that as they were full corporals they shouldn't be obliged to work in Jan 1917 William Patterson,9380,Royal Scots Fusileers Geoffrey Wiseman,1st West Yorks George Lowe, 1st Lincs Regt Albert Abel, 1st Queens Royal West Surreys A Pte Mungall ,9629, Royal scots Fusileers complained that he should be excused from work as he had boils on his neck. Some people may be lucky and find who they are looking for mentioned, but all the same I found the records interesting. Jamie
