truthergw Posted 10 October , 2005 Share Posted 10 October , 2005 Thanks very much for the photographs. I was particularly interested in the ones at Lorette. I am interested in the French battles here and at Vimy. I noticed that some are taken at the time of Verdun. Now I'm off to get the German dictionary to puzzle out the captions. Late for tea again! JustinL Posted 19 October , 2005 Share Posted 19 October , 2005 The photos are truly amazing. Tom, I too am interested in the actions around the Lorrettohoehe (Lorrette Heights) in March 1915. I am helping an acquaintant whose Jewish grandfather served in the Bavarian Reserve Infantry Regiment No. 7 (BRIR 7). I speak German, so I can help you with the captions... Malte Znaniecki Posted 19 October , 2005 Author Share Posted 19 October , 2005 Hello Justin, hello Tom thank You very much for Your replies I am going to post more pictures here (also from Loretto, Mt. Loretto and many more locations of the region). Unfortunately I have no regimental history of Bay. Res. Inf. Regt. 7, so I cannot help for now. All I have is a small chronicle (time line) of the 5th Bay. Res. Div. which Bay. Res. Inf. Regt. 7 belonged to during WW1. With best regards Malte Znaniecki
