philary Posted 18 July , 2005 Share Posted 18 July , 2005 Hello Everyone I have just received an email from a couple in NZ who hope to visit an Uncle's grave in Bagneux Cemetery. They hope to travel by train to Doullens and then go on from there. Does anyone know if there is a good rail service to Doullens and from there, the best way to get to Bagneux Cemetery? Also, is there anywhere in Doullens where such information (eg timetables) can be obtained or on the internet? Thanks for your help. Marco Posted 18 July , 2005 Share Posted 18 July , 2005 Hello Hilary, Hendley is the French train expert here, so I guess he will reply to the first part of your question. From Doullens there are only two options: walk (2 miles) or taxi. Not to put them off but I wish them luck in explaining to a French taxi driver that they want to go to the middle of a field besides an abandonded (iirc) railway : http://www.xs4all.nl/~aur/Cemeteries/BAGNEUXBC.htm Regards, Marco
