I,m trying to find out if 241573 L/Cpl T Grimshaw of the 2/5 East Lancs was from Burnley or not . I,ve found him on the London Gazette issue 30188 published 17 th July 1917 and he,s on the National Archives but nothing to say where he came from . I tried to send you an email , but it kept "bouncing" for some reason. I've since lost your question and can't quite remember it! (but I do have a vague memory of looking up an "original Pal" and discovering that he wasn't in "Z Coy" but was actually in "X Coy" - was this "look-up" for you or someone else?). Dave.
