chrislock Posted 13 July , 2005 Author Share Posted 13 July , 2005 They were mostly, french and Belgian Para/Commando and British Para,s. However! It was the last post and classic french marching tunes that stole it for me!
Cotswold Posted 14 July , 2005 Share Posted 14 July , 2005 TO THE FRENCH & BELGIUM BAND at Plugstreet memorial last week! Wonderful, beautiful and sincere! The sweetest last post I have ever heard! the veterans in front of us were in tears, thank you! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've arranged a visit to Ypres next month for the beginning of August just so I can attend the last post at plugstreet, for the first time. It is a beautiful memorial. I will be taking my Mum, her first visit to Ypres. I keep talking about the Ypres Salient and the Somme so thought it was about time she saw for herself. Looking forward to it. Regards, Donna.
