lancashire lassie Posted 4 July , 2005 Share Posted 4 July , 2005 This is my first posting, and I know very little about the Great War. How do I find out how and where this soldier was killed? He is buried in Rue-David Cemetary, Fleurbaix. He is my Gt Uncle and was killed on 8 November 1914. I have found his medal card in the NA, but do not know where they are at present. Bob Coulson Posted 4 July , 2005 Share Posted 4 July , 2005 From British Battalions 1914, Nov 8th "D" and "C" companies suffered a "fearful shelling", 2 officers wounded, 11 other ranks killed, 38 wounded. They seem to have been in the area of La Boutillerie at the time. Bob.
