Jacob Posted 4 July , 2005 Share Posted 4 July , 2005 I am looking for info on Howard MEEK. I found 4 Howard MEEKs in the medal index. I also found 6 Howard MEEKs in the whole 1901 census. One was 4, one 6 & two where 8 and the other two where older in 1901. The Howard MEEK I am looking for was the 6 year old Howard in the 1901 census. He must have been in the war and I would like to find some info on him. He wasn't killed in the war because I didn't find him on the CWGC site. Any ideas? Thanks. Max Posted 4 July , 2005 Share Posted 4 July , 2005 The only real way that you are going to be certain one way or the other is to try to identify him on the 1901 census and then check out to see whether his service record still exists at the National Archive. Unfortunately the majority of these records were destroyed in a German bombing raid during WW2 and the ones that survived were badly damaged. For more detailed check out this link from the mother site http://www.1914-1918.net/grandad/grandad.htm Andy
