PilgrimDuke Posted 1 July , 2005 Share Posted 1 July , 2005 http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4672695 http://www.libertymemorialmuseum.org/index.aspx Apologies if info on this has already been posted, but I couldn't find anything about this when using the search function. The first link is about the National World War I Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri. This audio clip from National Public Radio isn't terribly informative at the beginning, but it does address the question of why Kansas City? (They raised the money in 1919 for a memorial and 80 some years later it became official.) The second link is to the National World War I Memorial website.
