Short answer, no.

There is the American Battlefield Monuments Commission site (linked above) which has information on those US troops buried in Europe. Most American war dead were repatriated after the war. You can find some lists of war dead by state and county online but they require a bit of searching.

Try posting your queries in war dead databases. The Soldiers of the great war series gives, hometown, state, rank, type of death and full name. Sometimes it has a photograph of the man but does not have numbers, location of death or unit information.

thanks tom/neil,he is actually a yorkshire lad who went out there to work along with his brother,he joined the US army when america came into the war and his brother joined their navy,unfortunately he was killed and his other brother back in england was also killed with the RFC,bernard

Hi Bernard,

As Tom stated above (thank you Tom as it slipped my mind!) you can post his name in the War Dead Database thread. There is actually quite a bit of information on those who died in service in the US Navy.
