bernardmcilwaine Posted 30 June , 2005 Share Posted 30 June , 2005 is there a american roll of honour online, that gives name, rank, number etc, bernard
Neil Burns Posted 30 June , 2005 Share Posted 30 June , 2005 ABMC Short answer, no. There is the American Battlefield Monuments Commission site (linked above) which has information on those US troops buried in Europe. Most American war dead were repatriated after the war. You can find some lists of war dead by state and county online but they require a bit of searching. Good luck, Neil
museumtom Posted 1 July , 2005 Share Posted 1 July , 2005 Try posting your queries in war dead databases. The Soldiers of the great war series gives, hometown, state, rank, type of death and full name. Sometimes it has a photograph of the man but does not have numbers, location of death or unit information. regards. Tom.

Neil Burns Posted 1 July , 2005 Share Posted 1 July , 2005 Hi Bernard, As Tom stated above (thank you Tom as it slipped my mind!) you can post his name in the War Dead Database thread. There is actually quite a bit of information on those who died in service in the US Navy. Take care, Neil
