CWGC Register Updates

Many people out there have CWGC registers covering their own county or local area of the UK. Most of these were last published in the 1920s/30s and are now often far from complete.

I have just finished a five month exercise to research the details of all war graves not listed in these registers using CWGC records. This has thrown up 2,437 casualties not listed in the latest editions of the UK registers or who are now listed elsewhere other than in their original burial location. This meant checking all war grave burials in 12,353 cemeteries! (sad or what?).
