Sparky53 Posted 27 June , 2005 Share Posted 27 June , 2005 Mum tells me that my Grandfather couldn't join the infantry as he wore glasses and was colour blind. He joined the ASC as a horse trainer. Does anyone know the regulations for fitness for the infantry. Also Gt Uncle Jim was about 5 foot one inch but he did join the N Staffs. I think a lot of men who were not really fit enough got into the Infantry in the early rush to join up but were later found not to be suitable and trans. to units like Labour Corps or remain in Britian.
