J T Gray Posted 24 June , 2005 Share Posted 24 June , 2005 Remembered today: Pte Walter DENNIS 34653 11 Bn, Essex Regt, who died aged 25 on 24.06.17. Philosophe British Cemetery, France I often wonder about the men at the top of the screen. This one leapt out at me because he was in my Grandfather's regiment and was killed at just about the sort of time my Grandfather was disembarking in France. If there is a story, I know there's a man out there who will know. Anyone else interested in the 11th Essex, or just me? Adrian (Grandson of Pte James Thurgood Gray 35801 11th Battalion Essex Regiment. Almost certainly with the battalion at Ribecourt-la-Tours at the battle of Cambrai, and almost certainly POW March 21/22 1918)
