Remembered Today:

Sligo/Ballymote man died 1916. War death?

HI all,

I have found reference to a man burried in a grave in a cemetery

in Ballymote, Ireland. His name is William Perrott.

His headstone shows he Died July 19th 1916. Also that he had a son who died in June 13th 1944 and one Died May 1st, 1986.

I am thinking that if a man has a son who died in 1986 (perhaps 70 or 80 years old) then the father could have been GW casualty. I can find nothing on CWGC. Not checked SDGW

This might just be a coincidence.

Can anyone help with suggestions of places I may look to get Irish genealogical information/etc to discover who this man was and how he died? Or access to the Irish memorial register?

Many regards

Leigh

There are no Perrotts from sligo in SDGW or Irelands Memorial records.
