Remembered Today:

1901 Census look-up

Recommended Posts

I’m trying to work out if these two men on the same Worcester war memorial are related. They are Albert and Frank Jenkins, both born and enlisted in Worcester.

Could some kind person do a 1901 Census look up to see if they are family?

Thanks

Duncan.

There is one family with an Albert and a Frank Jenkins in it on the 1901 Census living in Worcester itself:

Frederick Jenkins abt 1845 St Peter, Worcestershire, Head, Salmon fisherman

Ellen Jenkins abt 1858 St Peter, Worcestershire, Wife

Frederick Jenkins abt 1879 St Peter, Worcestershire, Son, printing machinist

Albert Jenkins abt 1881 St Peter, Worcestershire, Son, bootmaker

William Jenkins abt 1883 St Peter, Worcestershire, Son, Compositing apprentice

Florie Jenkins abt 1885 St Peter, Worcestershire, Daughter, occ ?

Frank Jenkins abt 1887 St Peter, Worcestershire, Son, Boot machinist

Charles Jenkins abt 1892 St Peter, Worcestershire, Son

Beatrice Jenkins abt 1895 St Peter, Worcestershire, Daughter

John Jenkins abt 1897 St Peter, Worcestershire, Son

They live at what looks like 37 Severn Street, Worcester.

The best answer then is, could be...

Steve.

Duncan,

There are brothers Albert and Frank Jenkins of 37 Severn St, Worcester listed on the 1901 census.

Father Frederick, 56, a salmon fisherman.

Mother Ellen, 43.

Albert, 20, Boot machinist?

Frank, 14, Boot machinist.

All were born in St. Peters, Worcester.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Rich.

Sorry Steve, you beat me to it.

Severn Street still exists, it's very close to the cathedral and the Severn.

I'm afraid I don't know if it's been re-developed.

Rich.

Hey, we agreed. Looks promising.

I wonder if CWGC had any NoK details? Duncan?

Steve.

Many thanks for both your help.

No, no CWGC NOK details. They are the 3rd, possibly 4th, set of brothers on the war memorial - it's only a small one too! Very sad.

Cheers for the help,

Duncan.
