delta Posted 4 June , 2005 Share Posted 4 June , 2005 In "Mud, Blood and Poppycock". Gordon Corrigan states that the tank "Dinnaken" shot down a German observation balloon en route to attack the village of Flers I have been searching for more info on this statement for a while and can find no evidence in other sources. Does anyone have more details?
Robert Dunlop Posted 4 June , 2005 Share Posted 4 June , 2005 I do not have any information but it sounds VERY unlikely to me. A captive balloon would not have been close enough. Robert
