Remembered Today:

Tanks verus observation balloons

Recommended Posts

In "Mud, Blood and Poppycock". Gordon Corrigan states that the tank "Dinnaken" shot down a German observation balloon en route to attack the village of Flers

I have been searching for more info on this statement for a while and can find no evidence in other sources. Does anyone have more details?

I do not have any information but it sounds VERY unlikely to me. A captive balloon would not have been close enough.
