dorrie Posted 3 June , 2005 Share Posted 3 June , 2005 Whilst looking at a soldiers reported death in the Retford Times of Novemeber 1914 he made reference in his last letter to his wife that the 1st Lincolnshires being "christened the gun pinchers" could anybody shed any light on this phrase.
