barry56 Posted 2 June , 2005 Share Posted 2 June , 2005 Sapper Norman G. Chapman, Royal Engineers, had 2 WW1 medal index cards, each with a different regimental no. - members of this Forum have already identified the likely Field Company with which he served after leaving hospital, but prior to his discharge in Nov 1917. Can anyone help me with his likely active service unit on the Western Front? - his regimental number was 2533 and at enlistment, his home was in Ashton under Lyne, Manchester, Lancs. He arrived in France on 19 Sep 1915 and was awarded the 1915 Star. Many thanks, Barry Chapman Tasmania, Australia
