Hello all,

I have posted on this subject before;but i am no nearer finding him.William John Eggleston is on the roll of honour from my village as in the 3rd Battalion, Worcs. Regiment. On the CWGC the only corresponding entry is 3rd Battalion,Scots Guards?.

Medal Card offers the Devonshires and later the Labour Corps, the other 'Williams' here offer no clues...am i missing something? He would have been about 31 in 1914. Thanks for looking.

Hi Nick, :)

Could you please tell me which Village Memorial this is ?

Also are there a number of other Hamlets and Villages nearby that he may have come from ?

Cheers

Tim.
