Terry Carter Posted 30 May , 2005 Share Posted 30 May , 2005 Hi Tony From 7 to 15 August 1915 the 1/6th RWR were holding the front line trenches at Hebuterne (North of Gommecourt0 Regards Terry p.s. Tony I have provisionally booked the Library Theatre at Birmingham Central Library for Saturday 1 July 2006. Me and Dave vaux are looking to stage some type of event to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Somme and to remember the lads of the 1/8th and 1/6th Warwicks who attacked the Heidenkopf Redoubt and loads of other Brummies who were killed on 1/7/16. Dave will be displaying medals and ephemera and I will possibly do a slide show and a talk. If you want to get involved let me know. I am having a meeting at the Library this week.
