BullerTurner Posted 25 April , 2019 Share Posted 25 April , 2019 The NATO alphabet was designed for non-English speakers to spell words, avoiding any ambiguity either between letters which can sound the same in English (C, P or D et cetera) or which have a different phonetic spelling in the non-English language - like Y vs, y-Greque?
