Remembered Today:

Son of an 'enemy' imigrant.

Hi,

I note from a recent thread that the sons of German and Austrian immigrants were drafted in to the Middlesex Regiment. I notice from the 1901 census that a G/37369 Private Frederick A. Voit, Middlesex Regiment was the son of an Austrian immigrant and was wondering if this could be such a man?

Does his service number indicate which battalion of the Middlesex Rgt he served with?

Thanks for the help.

Duncan.
